Abstract:
With the continuous rise in popularity of major internet-famous attractions in Chongqing, the public’s meteorological demands for travel are becoming increasingly refined and diversified. To better meet the actual travel needs of the public, this study fully considers the impact of human comfort on tourism activities. Through comparative analysis, this study identifies an algorithm that can adequately and sensitively reflect the human comfort levels in various regions of Chongqing. Based on the calculation results of this algorithm, travel suitability levels are classified, and a characteristic tourism meteorological index forecasting model, the "Internet-famous Check-in Index", is constructed accordingly. This study further evaluates the model and its forecast products. The results indicate that the refined “Internet-famous Check-in Index” forecast products derived from gridded forecast data and early warning information boast strengths including simple computation, high spatial resolution, and consistency with public thermal perception. These products can be integrated into the service platforms of important scenic spots and internet-famous attractions in Chongqing, providing tourists with more convenient and accurate tourism meteorological services, and helping to improve the overall competitiveness and quality of the tourism industry.
