Abstract:
Based on the surface meteorological observation data of Wanyuan City from1991 to 2020, the negative oxygen ion (NAI) data from January to December 2022, and ambient air quality monitoring data in 2022, the climatic and ecological resource conditions for Wanyuan's creation of a "China Natural Oxygen Bar" was analyzed, which mainly includes climate background and suitability, negative oxygen ions, ambient air quality, vegetation cover and surface water quality and tourism resources. The results indicate that Wanyuan City enjoys four distinct seasons with no intense summer heat and a climate comfort period lasting up to 10 months. The annual average NAI concentration reaches 3,759 ions/cm³, and the forest coverage rate is 62.5%. The water quality at monitored cross-sections meets the Class II standard, with a 100% compliance rate. The number of days with an Air Quality Index (AQI) greater than 100 is fewer than 30 days, and the annual proportion of days with excellent or good ambient air quality is 98.4%. These findings demonstrate that Wanyuan City possesses scientifically sound ecological planning, a high-quality ecological environment and unique resource endowment, all of which align with the establishment requirements for the "China Natural Oxygen Bar" title.
