Abstract:
Based on the monitoring data of the atmospheric electric field and lightning location instrument at Shuangliu International Airport from May to September 2023, the fluctuation characteristics of the atmospheric electric field in summer and the relationship between the electric field and the distance from the airport to the thunderstorm activity were studied by using DBSCAN and K-means clustering analysis algorithm. The results show that the atmospheric electric field can be divided into fluctuating and non-fluctuating types. The fluctuating electric field primarily occurred from July to August, with weaker fluctuations indicating that the thunderstorm activity was closer to the airport. For the non fluctuating electric field, the weaker the fluctuation of the atmospheric electric field, the farther away the thunderstorm activity was from the ariport The frequency of thunderstorm weather processes in June and September was relatively lower than in July and August, and the overall fluctuation of the atmospheric electric field was generally weaker.
