Study on Flood Classification Based on Set Pair Analysis

In order to avoid the complicated mathematic theories and difficult calculation of traditional classification methods a new approach to flood classification:Set Pair Analysis Method (SPAM) has been suggested in this paper.The basic idea and calculation steps of SPAM are discussed.The SPAM is a satisfied classification approach whose concept and structure and calculation are simple and clear.The case study of flood classification has shown that the results of classification with SPAM are feasible.
