The Analysis of a Rainstorm Induced by MCC in South Panxi Area

  • Using surface meteorological observation data,regional automatic meteorological station observation data,radar and satellite data and NCEP1°×1° 6-hour reanalysis data to analysis the rainstorm weather process in the southern part of Panxi region on June 22,2018. The results show that the rainstorm weather process is caused by MCC. The low-level convergence zone and the high-level South Asia high ridge axis are the major influence systems that cause heavy precipitation. The MCC occurred in high energy,high temperature and high humidity environment under weak environment wind field,but the requirement of vertical wind shear is low. The temperature and dew point in the middle and lower layers of MCC Generating and developing regions are higher than surrounding areas,and the positive temperature in the development stage is more significant than maturity stage. The atmosphere around MCC region shows obvious convergence,high-level divergence and strong upward movement,convergence (divergence) and upward movement maturity stage are stronger than development stage.
