Analysis of a Case of Artificial Hail-Suppression in Western Sichuan

  • Artificial hail suppression is to avoid or reduce the hail caused by meteorological disasters, in the appropriate weather conditions, through manual intervention, the hail cloud of the physical process of impact, to achieve hail suppression activities. In this paper, the artificial hail suppression in Hanyuan County of Ya'an City on May 6th, 2016 was analyzed. The weather conditions, operation conditions and hail conditions before artificial hail suppression were analyzed, and the effects of radar, satellite and rainfall were analyzed.
