Analysis of Sichuan Province Lightning Risk Zoning Based on Lightning Location Data

This paper using the mathematical statistics method to analyzes Sichuan Provincelightning risk zoning by adopting the Sichuan Province lightning location data from 2005 to 2012,the city's economic and population distribution.The result shows that high lightning risk area is the central plain and hills of Sichuan Province,the medium lightning risk area is southeast area of Sichuan Province,the low risk area is the Western Sichuan Plateau and northeast area of Sichuan Province.Sichuan plain area and hilly area are developed area,have higher population density,located in the high lightning risk areas,the strong thunderstorm weather can easily lead to lightning disaster.Northwest Sichuan Plateau area due to much land and few people,poor economic development,plateau climate,could not easily lead to serious lightning disaster.
