Development of Study on Atmospheric Aerosol in Tibetan Plateau

The research on atmospheric aerosol in Tibetan Plateau in recent 30 years is summarily commented in this paper, include spatiotemporal changes of aerosol optical depth and aerosol area density, studies of aerosol chemical composition, the climate effects of atmospheric aerosol.Analysis of aerosol using satellite data, LiDAR and sample analysis.Much progress has been achieved on atmospheric aerosol in the Tibetan Plateau.The main research achievements in the field are summarized, and give some prospect on the future research.
