Statistical Characteristics of Radar Echo Changes in the Catalytic Effect

  • In this paper, we used aircraft artificial precipitation data of Sichuan province in 2010 to calculate the changes of radar reflectivity intensity, radar reflectivity area, radar reflectivity height, and vertical accumulation of liquid water content which occured before and after each operation.By analyzing statistical characteristics of the appropriate operating cloud and the physical effects of catalytic influence, it got some meaningful results to provide objective evidence for effect test and benefit assessment of artificial precipitation operation.It has some significance to improve the artificial rainfall technology.
