Review and Prospect on the Application of Meteorological Satellite Data over Tibetan Plateau in the Past 20 Years

Some research achievements in meteorological satellite remote sensing Tibetan Plateau in the past 20 years are described in this paper.It mainly covers the applications of meteorological satellite data to weather analysis and forecast, climate monitoring, climate change study and forest fire, snow monitoring and so on.Besides those, the problem demanding prompt solution about the applications of meteorological satellite data over Tibetan Plateau are given.
