Advances in Researches of South Asia High Activities and Its Influences on Summer Drought and Flood in China in Recent More than 10 Years

  • To exist as a strong and steady high pressure system, at the top of the troposphere and the bottom of the stratosphere over the southern Asia in summer, South Asia High (SAH) has a significant impact on the weather-climate, specially, the distribution of summer drought and flood in China. From the 1950s, the studies about the features of SAH and its influences have been carrying forward.A review is made for the studies of SAH activities and its influences on summer drought and flood in China in recent more than 10 years.Meanwhile, the existing questions and future directions of SAH research are further put forward.
