Comparative Analysis on Temperature Difference of AWS and Man-observed Station in Sichuan

  • Apply-ing the second year of Sichuan 135 stations' temperature information, which observed by automatic and manual in parallel, to analyze the temperature information differences, and the reasons for the differences.The parallel comparison observation results indicated that the temperature observed by automatic was higher than that by manual way, and the variety of difference was less than 0.2℃.Comparing the daily average, daily maximum and minimum temperature observed by automatic way and by manual way, the difference within ±0.2℃ respectively was 58.71%, 51.58%, 62.68%, and these concordance rate respectively was 15.07%、12.16%、14.78%.There was significant daily variation difference between manual and automated observation, while there was no considerable geographical and seasonal variation.The difference on observation time, means of observation, air temperature probe install position, temperature measurement principle, give rise to the difference of observation.
