Effects of Meteorological Factors on Kumquat Quality in the Anning River Basin

Effects of Meteorological Factors on Kumquat Quality in the Anning River Basin

  • Based on the meteorological data of Mianning County, Xichang City, Dechang County and Miyi County from 1993 to 2023, the effects of meteorological factors such as temperature, sunshine and precipitation on the quality of kumquat were statistically analyzed. The results show that the temperature difference between day and night in the Anning River Basin is generally about 10 ~ 15 °C, which is conducive to the accumulation of sugar. The annual sunshine hours reach 2000 ~ 2500 h, which increases the vitamin C content of kumquat. The growth period of kumquat is the rainy season of the Anning River, and the precipitation accounts for 70 % ~ 80 % of the whole year. Appropriate precipitation increases the water content of the fruit.
