Variation Characteristic of Heat Island Effect in Shapingba, Chongqing in Recent 20 Years

  • Based on MODIS LST product, with the linear regression analysis and Mann-Kendall (M-K) test method, the spatiotemporal distribution and the intensity variation of UHI in Shapingba from 2002 to 2019 are analyzed. The results show that the regions affected by strong UHI are concentrated in Tuzhu street. The relatively strong UHI areas are distributed in some street such as Tuzhu, Fengwen, Chenjiaqiao, Huxi, etc. And the annual mean of the UHI shows a fluctuating upward trend with time, and the change trend is relatively stable. In addition, the UHI of Shapingba district shows a significant seasonal variation characteristic, and the intensity of UHI is summer>autumn>winter>spring.
