Analysis of Hail Disaster Causes and Hail Prevention Methods in Huidong

Huidong County of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture is the main flue-cured tobacco production area in China, the hail disaster is prone to occur from June to October every year. Through the analysis of topography and weather system from June to October every year, the main disaster-inducing factors in Huidong County are found, and the best method of artillery operation in Huidong County is analyzed. The results show that there are four hail weather systems in Huidong County, namely, high-altitude cold advection, high-altitude low trough, high-altitude strong divergence and warm-wet airflow. There are two hail disaster environment in Huidong County, one is topography, the other is rainstorm weather from June to September. Hail weather types in Huidong County are about 24 % of the local type, 19 % of the input type and 57 % of the local type. The main hail suppression method in Huidong County is the spraying of silver iodide by antiaircraft gun operation, through this way, the influence of hail disaster on flue-cured tobacco production will be greatly reduced.
