Abstract
Mainly based on CloudSat satellite data and combined with other multi-source meteorological data,the three-dimensional structure of convective clouds in a Southwest vortex which is moving towards the Northwest during August 6 to 7 in 2013 is analyzed in this paper.The main results are as follows,the development of Southwest vortex is conductive to the occurrence of deep convective cloud.The low vortex center and the strong convection center are not consistent both in the development and mature stage.The strong convection center lies to the south of low vortex center.The evolution of convective cloud conforms to the mechanism of “sowing and supplying water” in different stages of Southwest vortex.There is a high temperature and humidity center inside the convective cloud in the mature stage of Southwest vortex.
