Analysis of Air Pollution Characteristics in Chengdu,China,2014-2017

Based on environmental air-quality monitoring data from May 2014 to December 2017,the spatial and temporal variation characteristics of air pollution were analyzed in Chengdu.The results showed that the air quality of Chengdu was dominant by good days,and the primary pollutant was PM_2.5 in urban area and O₃ in rural area.The rural concentrations of PM_2.5,PM₁₀,NO₂ and CO at Lingyansi atmospheric background monitoring station were lower than that from urban.The concentration of O₃ from rural was higher than that from urban.The concentrations of SO₂ were similar in urban and rural areas.The concentrations of six pollutants in each monitoring station in Chengdu had obvious interannual,seasonal,monthly and diurnal variation trends,and the variation trends in each monitoring station in Chengdu urban area was comparatively consistent.
