Comparison and Analysis among L-band Radar, Wind Profile Radar and GPS Wind-Measuring Data of Xichang Satellite Launch Site

  • Comparison and analysis are conducted among L-band radar, wind profile radar and GPS wind-measuring data of Xichang Satellite launch site by various seasons, various levels of wind speed and height. The results indicate that the correlation of wind speed is higher in dry season than in rainy season. On the contrary, the correlation of wind direction is lower in dry season. Also, the correlation of wind direction is high in various levels of height, and the correlation of wind speed is higher in higher height. Besides, the correlation between L-band radar and GPS wind-measuring data gets higher with wind speed increasing, but the correlation between wind profile radar and both of them gets lower with wind speed increasing.
