Study of Methods for Three-Dimensional Gridding from Dopplor Radar Data

  • The foundation of multiple-radar reflectivity mosaics is the Three-Dimensional gridding of weather radar data.This paper investigates several approaches to remapping the poor resolution reflectivity fields onto a unified high-resolution 3D Cartesian coordinate system, moreover, various interpolation schemes were evaluated by the simulated weather radar echoes,mainly for the continuity of space reflectance intensity value and whether to retain the reflectivity of the radar data in the original structure characteristics were analyzed.
