Comparative Analysis on Ground Temperature Difference of AWS and Man-Observed Station in Sichuan

  • Analysed the difference of 0 cm to 320 cm ground temperatures between the data which observed by automatic and manual in parallel. The results indicated that the ground temperatures were different per layer, and the surface temperature and shallow ground temperatures which observed by automatic was higher than manual. The highest consistent rate of automatic and manual observation data is 160 cm ground temperature, reaching 21%, and the lowest consistent rate is 80 cm ground temperature, only 6. 2%, the absolute difference of 80 cm ground temperature is greater than 2 centigrade, the percentage is close to about 70%, the most difference of ground temperature value was in Hongyuan, which automatic observation was higher up to 8. 32℃ than the man-boserved.
