Abstract: This paper has briefly introduced the major climate characteristics in Tibet, which include the systematic analysis on the spatial distribution pattern of climate features, i.e.temperature, rainfall, sunshine, humidity in Tibet, and preliminary discussion about various climate types at different longitude, latitude as well as different height above sea level.It also briefly analyzed the occurring periods, areas and the characteristics of major meteorological disasters in Tibet.All these analysis would be significant for understanding of Tibet climate background, disaster prevention and making a better use of the local climate and tourist resources.
