Abstract:
Investigate how typhoon on July 10th to 11th, 2018 strengthens the Southwest China Vortex(SWV), by analyzing ground based observation data and NCEP reanalysis data. The result shows: tropical wind on the south china sea and typhoon on the western Pacific develops and maintains the SWV from distance. When the east air current in the outer ring of the typhoon moves to the west and hits the southeast current in Sichuan Basin, it transfers the moisture and heat from western Pacific to Sichuan Basin. By the distant influence of the air current movement from the outer ring of the typhoon, the wind pressure distribution, moist and heat structure, and momentum character in SWV and surroundings are all changed. Thus it changes and strengthens the baroclinicity and unbalance of the atmosphere in SWV and surrounding areas.
