Abstract:
Based on the observational surface wind data at Guanghan airport from 2010 to 2014, the annual variation, monthly mean and diurnal change characteristics of surface wind field in spring are analyzed, the results show that northerly winds prevail in spring, and the Guanghan airport is also influenced by the NNW and NNE wind, therefore the flight training can be influenced by the left crosswind. The days of wind speed which is between 4-5m/s and above 6m/s have little changes yearly, but the max wind speed in the spring has large yearly variation. The monthly mean wind speed increasing from March to May, dominant wind direction in March is northerly winds, it has turned into northeasterly winds in May, furthermore, the frequency of ESE, SE, SSE wind is increased, and the left crosswind and headwind also increased. Diurnal variation of surface wind has the characteristics of “one peak one valley”, which means the speed is large during the day, small during the night and largest in the afternoon. The wind between 4-5m/s is more influenced by the diurnal changes, the wind above 6m/s is mainly influenced by the weather systems.
