Abstract:
Based on the daily temperature data at 277 observational stations in Southern China from 1960 to 2009,the Southern China can be divided into four subareas of temperature in winter by using method of rotated empirical orthogonal function(REOF). The spatial and temporal distribution of daily mean temperature, maximum and minimum temperature were analyzed by methods of climate trend coefficient, climate tendency rate and Mann-Kendall(MK) test. The results show that the three types of temperature are in a decreasing trend from southeast to northwest; the tendency of day-and-night temperature tends to decrease, salient region is located in the area of Western Sichuan Plateau,Tibet Plateau, eastern Sichuan province,Jianghuai and the coastal local area. The temperatures in Sothern China are in an increasing trend in winter, the daily minimum temperature has the largest trend of 0.411℃/10a,followed by the daily mean temperature of 0.316℃ /10a,and the daily maximum temperature has the smallest trend of 0.228℃/10a. Largest increasing trend of temperature appeared in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,Yunnan and Western Sichuan which is in areas of complex terrain and high elevation, followed by costal area,Yangtze River and the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, minimum increasing amplitude located in East Sichuan,Guizhou,Chongqing,Guangxi, and Henan station in Qinghai Province is in an decreasing trend nearly the 50 years. Mutation of the daily minimum temperature occurred in 1990 which is earlier than that of the daily mean temperature, mutation of the daily maximum temperature occurred in the period of 1997~1999 which is the latest.
