Abstract:
Based on the daily maximum temperature of 15 observation stations in Sichuan during 1960 ~ 2012, using statistical analysis methods, the megatherm climate features and changes in Dazhou, Sichuan, were analyzed. Highlighted differences before and after 2003 in the hot weather of Dazhou region as well as the relationship between Dazhou and the surrounding areas are been studied and discussed. The results show that, in these 53 years, the number of high temperature days in Daxian station was the highest one in this area. The sequences of high temperature days in all sites of this area show a pattern of twopeak-one-valley. Also a difference can be fund between those sites. In some sites the former peak is lower than the later one.But in the others these two peaks are the same. There is a significance difference between the sequences of daily maximum temperature before 2003 (1960 ~ 2003) and after 2003 (2004 ~ 2012). After 2003, the numbers of high temperature days in Dazhou region has increased significantly and reached its historical peak. As far as the frequency distribution of high temperature days, four patterns are fund, which are quasi-normal, skew, L-and bimodal types.
