Abstract: Based on the literature available from Advances in Plateau Meteorology Research, compiled by the Chengdu Institute of Plateau Meteorology during 2009~2013, bibliometrics and content analysis were conducted to compare scholarly articles published in journals at home and abroad, in which we covered four topics, viz. weather, climate, environmental changes and land-atmosphere interaction in plateaux. This research outlines the progress and trends in meteorological research on Tibetan Plateau and provides helpful directions for further research.
