Abstract:
Six commonly used split-window algorithms for deriving land surface temperature (LST) from advanced very high resolution radiometer (AVHRR) are validated with in situ measurement (T
s) over Litang alpine meadow. This purpose is to provide some technical supports on the split-window algorithm selection over the Tibetan Plateau.Resultsshow that there are significant linear correlations between the land surface temperatures derived by the six algorithms and the in situ measurements. The maximum deviation of LST and T
s is 2.35K.The maximum mean absolute error is 1.33 K,while the minimum is0.49K.Two split-window algorithms are suggested for deriving alpine meadow surface temperature from AVHRR.
