Abstract: According to the 2002-2009 MODIS satellite remote sensing data and of meteorological data from 2000 to 2009, the article concludes that the area of Yangzhuoyongco lake is getting smaller in eight years, the area of Yangzhuoyongcuo lake reduced 96.61km2 in eight years;the temperature and the surface temperature present enlarging trend, while the precipitation, relative humidity present reducing trend.With precipitation reducing and temperatures increasing, the reduction of rainfall is much more than the reduction of the evaporation, which is the reason of the reduction of the area of yangzhuoyongco lake.This study also proves the data of MODIS can be used as supplementary data sources of the research of the area of lakes changing.
