Abstract: Cold wave which is one of the important weather disaster influence the industrial and agricultural production and people's life in the winter half year in China.Cold wave is the object of study at the forecast and study.In the past decades, cold wave has been studied and some helpful Conclusions were obtained.In the paper, the study on the cold wave are summarized and finished in the past years and the climatic general situation is calculated at the Sichuan Basin from 1951 to 2009.The aim is the principle, climatic general situation and prediction method with the cold wave at the Sichuan Basin are comprehended by forecasters.
