Abstract: For the widely used E-601B evaporimeter in the national fiducially climate station, the paper introduces in details the reasons, the methods and effects of improvement of the triangle bracket base of the E-601B evaporimeter sensor based on the past many years' experiences of observations and practices.Besides, it presents the reasons, the methods and effects of changing to use dedicated storage bottle to get water by sealing the drain hole and taking off bucket.Through these improvements, not only the E-601B evaporimeter can benefit from easier design, more convenient operation, but also large amounts of labor and time of the observation staffs can be saved.So that the observed evaporation is more accurate.
