Abstract: Based on the data from DDW1 lightning locators and a three-dimensional lightning monitoring and early warning system, the spatiotemporal changes and the characteristics of lightning current amplitude in Seda County from 2022 to 2023 were analyzed. The results showed that the High-density lightning flashes mainly occurred in areas with high altitude of 3200 ~ 3500 m and forest coverage. Lightning activity occurred frequently in summer (from June to September), especially in September. The probability curves of lightning positive and negative ground lightning current amplitude were quite different. The change of negative ground lightning amplitude was closer to the total lightning amplitude, and the main amplitude intensity distribution range was 5 ~ 30 kA.
