近十年高原低涡与中亚低涡研究进展

Research Progress of Tibetan Plateau Vortex and Central Asian Vortex in Recent Decade

  • 摘要: 高原低涡是青藏高原地区特有的天气系统,作为青藏高原地区夏季的主要降水系统,其发生发展和移动对高原周边及其下游广大地区的天气气候具有重要的影响。而中亚低涡是引起青藏高原西北新疆暴雨、短时强降水、冰雹、持续低温等灾害性天气的重要系统之一,同时也显著影响其周边甚至我国东部和南部地区的天气气候。高原低涡和中亚低涡是位于不同纬度、范围,主要在500 hPa等压面活动的低涡系统,与青藏高原及其周边地区密切联系,且都位于我国西部上游,其对下游广大地区的天气气候影响深远。目前,在高原低涡和中亚低涡基本定义、活动特征和天气影响等多方面都已取得了大量成果,但对于两低涡之间的可能关系及其影响却鲜有涉及。本文在回顾已有研究成果的基础上,总结了近10年关于高原低涡与中亚低涡研究的主要进展并指出了存在的问题,强调了开展高原低涡与中亚低涡两者关系的分析研究是未来的重要方向之一。

     

    Abstract: Tibetan Plateau Vortex (TPV) is a unique weather system over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. As the main precipitation system over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in summer, there is an important impact on the precipitation and other weather and climate in the surrounding and downstream areas of the plateau with the occurrence, development and movement of TPV. The Central Asian Vortex (CAV) is one of the important systems which cause severe weather such as rainstorm, short-time heavy precipitation, hail and continuous low temperature in Xinjiang, where the northwest of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The CAV significantly affects the weather and climate in its surrounding areas and the eastern and southern parts of China. TPV and CAV are low vortex systems located in different latitudes and ranges. Both of them are mainly active on the isobaric surface of 500 hPa, closely related to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its surrounding areas. They are all located in the upper reaches of western China, which have far-reaching influence on the weather and climate of the downstream areas. A lot of achievements in the basic definition, activity characteristics and weather influence of the TPV and the CAV have been made respectively in earlier stage, but the possible relationship and influence between the two vortex are rarely discussed. On the basis of review, this paper mainly summarizes the research progress of the TPV and the CAV in the past 10 years, points out the existing problems, and emphasizes that the analysis of the relationship between the TPV and the CAV is an important direction in the future.
