Abstract: Based on the meteorological data of Longchang station from 1981 to 2018, this paper calculates the precipitation, temperature, sunshine hours and citrus growth suitability index during the growth and development of citrus as well as visits fruit farmers and consults relevant experts, so as to analyze and evaluate the climatic suitability of citrus planting in Longchang. The results show that: There are less precipitation during the sprouting period of citrus in spring and less sunshine during the late period of fructescence, while other climatic factors are very suitable for the growth and development of citrus. The climatic conditions in Longchang City are suitable for citrus planting, it provides meteorological support for the key work of “building a demonstration garden of citrus industry” proposed by the Longchang Municipal Government.
