Abstract: Based on the observation data of automatic weather station from 2016 to 2019, the tourism suitability of Yunding resort in Bashan Grand Canyon was analyzed for human comfort and snow formation maintenance. The results show that: (1) The vacation area is cold in winter and cool in summer, and there is no high temperature weather. The suitable days for human comfort are 192 days, accounting for 53% of the whole year. The suitable period is from April to October, and the time span is long. Among them, it is suitable from May to September in the whole month. (2) From November to March of the next year, it has the basic conditions for the emergence and maintenance of snow weather, which is suitable for winter snow appreciation activities. (3) The suitable vacation days are 289 days, accounting for 79% of the whole year, and the most suitable vacation days are concentrated from April to September, and from December to February of the next year. Among them, June, July, August and September are suitable for full-month tourism. Except November, the suitable days for tourism are more than half in other months.
