Abstract:
Using conventional meteorological data and sounding data, 89 hail processes in Dazhou from 1980 to 2018 were analyzed and studied. The results show that hail mainly occurs in April to August, and the probability of April to May is the largest. Hailfall had obvious diurnal variation characteristics, mainly from afternoon to evening. Hailfall is closely related to topography, mainly concentrated in the central and northern part of Dazhou, especially in the northern part. There are four types of hail weather, namely northwest airflow type, low trough type, stepped trough type and East Asian transverse trough type. Based on the related physical indexes of hail weather and the physical characteristics of various weather types, it can be used as an important factor for hail forecast in Dazhou.
