Abstract:
Based on the daily NCEP reanalysis data and hourly observation data of four national stations in Panzhihua, Sichuan, the atmospheric circulation background, dynamic and thermal conditions and physical quantity fields of the continuous high temperature weather process in Panzhihua City from June 5 to 12, 2019 were diagnosed and analyzed. The results show that the continental high pressure and surface thermal low pressure are the main influencing systems of the continuous high temperature weather process. The mid-latitude circulation has small longitude and the cold air activity is blocked, which is conducive to the development and maintenance of strong and lasting warm ridge or warm center in the middle and lower troposphere, and provides favorable environmental conditions for continuous high temperature. Extremely dry ambient atmosphere, radiation warming in clear sky and radiation sinking motion are important reasons for high temperature weather. And mountain terrain in Panxi region also has a certain effect on the formation of continuous high temperature.
