Abstract:
Based on GIS spatial analysis and mathematical statistical methods, the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) of Ritu County in Tibet was retrieved by using TERRA, AQUA and NPP-VIIRS satellite data, and the NDVI retrieval results of different satellite sensors were discussed. The results show that the NDVI value retrieved by the NPP-VIIRS satellite was slightly larger than that of TERRA and AQUA, and the estimated result had a good correlation with the estimated value of the MODIS satellite. Therefore, the NPP-VIIRS satellite can be used in the vegetation growth monitoring of the Tibetan Plateau, and provide richer remote sensing data for the construction of ecological civilization of Tibet.
