Abstract:
Based on the monthly sunshine hours data of 11 surface meteorological stations in southeast Shanxi from 1976 to 2018, the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of sunshine hours in southeast Shanxi in recent 43 years were analyzed, and the effects of meteorological factors such as total cloud amount, low cloud amount, water vapor pressure, precipitation, fog days and haze days on sunshine hours were analyzed. The results shows that the spatial difference of annual average sunshine duration in the southeast of Shanxi is obviously, showing the distribution characteristics of more north and south, less east and west, and less middle. The sunshine duration in southeastern Shanxi in recent 43 years showed a significant decrease trend, with an average decrease of 71.9 hours per 10 years, and the abrupt change of annual sunshine duration occurred in 2005. Sunshine duration in all seasons showed a consistent decreasing trend, with the slowest deceleration in spring and the biggest deceleration in autumn. Among the monthly sunshine duration, June and September contributed the most to the reduction of annual sunshine duration. In recent 43 years, the total cloud amount, the number of fog days and haze days showed a significant increase trend overall, but the changes in low cloud amount, water vapor pressure, and precipitation were not significant. The increase of fog days is one of the important factors leading to the decrease of sunshine hours in spring, autumn, winter and annual. The increas of total cloud amount is one of the important factors leading to the decrease of sunshine hours in summer, autumn, winter and annual. In addition, the increased precipitation also has a certain impact on the decrease in summer sunshine hours.
