Abstract: Based on the numerical models, the review on terrain disposing methods, forming methods of model topography and precipitation simulation have been done considering orographic effect in numerical models to know terrain disposing methods in numerical models, orographic precipitation characteristics of numerical simulation and its mechanism. Reasonably considering orographic effect and providing more real model terrain will help to heighten forecast ability of numerical models and promote prediction level of operation weather forecast.
