Abstract:
Using statistical methods ArcGis geographic information analysis tools, the 21 years’ hail data of 37 stations from 1997 to 2017 are analyzed to reveal the characteristics of hail in Weining County and get annual, monthly and daily features. The spatial distribution characteristics and the correlation test of altitude and hail frequency also been analyzed. The results show that the annual average hail day in Weining county is 15.3 days, and the annual changes of hail days are decreasing and then increasing, but the number of hail days is less than the end of twentieth Century. The number of hail days M-K test shows that the number of hail days has been increasing gradually from 2003,and there is a sudden change of hail day after 2010. The hail mainly occurred in 4 ~ 8 months, accounting for 98. 36% of the whole hail days, more in spring and summer, and less in autumn and winter. In spring, the number of hail days is 31. 15%,and the number of hail days in summer is 67. 21%. Hail mainly occurred at 13~ 21,accounting for 85. 07% of the number of hail occurrences in one day,the frequency is high in the afternoon to the evening. The hail mainly occurs in the northern, central, western,Northwestern,South and south-west Frontlines of the Weining county. There is a positive correlation between the altitude of each township and the frequency of hail, the correlation coefficient is 0. 412,and the hail frequency increases with the increase of the topographic elevation. There is no correlation between the frequency of hail and the difference of latitude and longitude. These conclusions can provide scientific reference for the research and development of Weining hail forecast index for artificial hail. It also provides support for the hail disaster prevention and reduction.
