Abstract: Based on the intensive observation scientific experiment of Southwest China vortex in 2010 and 2011,the intensive observation scientific experiment of Southwest China vortex in 2012 has successfully fulfilled by Institute of Plateau Meteorology,China Meteorological Administration,Chengdu.Here,its general project is summarized for the experiment in 2012.And its applications are particularly introduced in weather forecast operation and numerical weather prediction in Southwest China region.Finally,it is pointed out that the real-time applications in meteorological operation of the intensive observation scientific experiment of Southwest China vortex are very important for improving the severe weather forecast.
